The Puerto Rico Democracy Act
Congressman Pedro Pierluisi (D-PR) explains why his bill, HR2499, the Democracy for Puerto Rico Act, is different from the past three past plebiscites held by the Puerto Rican government. Panelist Dick Thornburgh believes that the bill is a good idea and needs to take place. But panelists Manuel Rivera and Brian Darling believe otherwise. They don’t think this bill is the solution to resolve the status issue.
