A new Exhibition of Louis XIV
Louis XIV, popularly known as the Sun King, was without a doubt the most glorious of French sovereigns. His reign, from 1643 to his death in 1715, lasted more than 72 years. That is the longest documented reign of any European monarch. A new exhibition reveals a little-known side of the personality behind his shining exterior. "Louis XIV: Man and King" is on at his beloved Palace of Versailles until February 7th.
