The story behind this video: I’ve been going on holidays to a family friend's holiday house in Port Albert basically since I was born. It's the most amazing relaxing place in the world. Nothing in the house has changed in the last 24 years (possibly longer) - the carpet, the pictures on the wall, the blankets on the beds, the furniture, they've all been exactly the same for as long as I can remember.  The same goes for Port Albert itself, it's always seemed completely timeless to me - the same boats floating next to their buoys out the front of the house, the same fishing boats at the wharf, the same seagulls sitting on the same posts down at the jetty, the same old fishing co-op making the same best fish 'n' chips in the entire universe. Things have started changing though, there are more houses getting built, the old fishing co-op has been torn down to make way for a cafe or something, the massive old wooden channel marker platforms are being replaced with boring poles. None of this is necessarily bad, but the image of Port Albert I've had my entire life is starting to disappear from the real world. So last time I was there, I took my camera and tried to capture the Port Albert I grew up with before it changes too much. So in short, I don't expect anyone to find this the least bit entertaining, I made it as a purely self-indulgent historical record of Port Albert as I've seen it for the last 24 years. Hooray!
