Sun, Sand, and Surf
I shot this entirely on the GoPro at 60fps, over the course of a week while on family holiday in Lewes, Delaware. The crane moves were done with a five foot pole I spotted sticking out of a garbage can on the first day. (I know…who would have thought) Fortunately I had the handlebar mount with me, which I used to attach the camera to the end of the pole. About half of this was handheld. The beautiful thing about the GoPro is that it is so small, you can literally carry it in your pocket. And for a camera with no manual controls and a fixed fish-eye lens, the imagery it can produce is astounding. A final technical note, there is a dash of Twixtor used here and there. Grading was a mix of Magic Bullet and FCP. And of course, huge thanks to my children and pregnant wife. This was a holiday I will always treasure.
