Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming - Deploying Oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve - On Wednesday, July 23, 2008, Chairman Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) and the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming will hold a hearing on how releasing oil from America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve can bring immediate relief to high oil and gas prices.
