Elsje moet naar Hopsi Topsi land, zong Neerlands Hoop in de jaren zeventig. Over een meisje dat in de zomervakantie naar een kinderkamp werd gebracht en daar nooit meer werd opgehaald omdat haar ouders tijdens hun vakantie waren verongelukt. Dat verhaaltje was verzonnen - hoewel zoiets het schrikbeeld is van elk kind dat alleen in een kamp wordt achtergelaten - maar Hopsi Topsi Land bestond wel echt.
