人生總會遇到很多挫折、障礙，一旦遇到挫折就放棄的人，人生只會停滯不前；只有勇敢跨越障礙，才可以走出光明的道路。在1979年我被匪徒槍傷，引致下肢癱瘓，如果當時自暴自棄，今天的我只能是一個坐在輪椅上的病人，但我選擇繼續服務警隊和巿民，而輪椅籃球就對我發揮了很大的幫助，因為可以鍛鍊我的鬥志，縱然人生逆境多於順境，只要積極面對，不要鑽牛角尖，跟朋友討論自己遇到的困難。香港人積極面對一起渡難關。
