Sam Taylor-Wood talked to Tim Marlow, editor of Tate magazine, about her work.03.12.2001 Photographer and film-maker, Sam Taylor-Wood is regarded as one of today’s most important contemporary women artists. Her work combines elements of the still and moving image and frequently explores the tensions and erotic entanglements arising between people in a closed environment. Her panoramic photographs, such as Five Revolutionary Seconds XIII, have the quality of freeze-frame and deploy actors and friends across interiors that appear like stage sets.
