最後の飛行を続けているスペースシャトル「アトランティス」から、船外活動の様子が撮影された。雄大な地球を背に、宇宙空間の中で作業を続ける2人の宇宙飛行士。スペースシャトルのクルーは、ドッキングしている国際宇宙ステーション内から、船外活動をサポートした。宇宙ステーションの建設が始まってから続いていたシャトルの船外活動は、今回が最後で、およそ6時間半かけて実験装置の取りつけ作業などが行われた。
