Pre Market Movers: May 25, 2011
Equity futures are trading lower this morning with the Dow Jones Industrial Average looking to open 23 points lower while the broader S&P500 index is looking to open nearly 3 points lower. Moving fast in the pre-market session are shares of Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide up over 24% after the company received a fleet contract from Dow Chemical; Vivus up over 5% after its erectile dysfunction drug met a late-stage main goal; Boston Scientific up 3% following FDA approval and US launch of PROMUS; and Halliburton up 2%. Shares of Costco are down over 2% following its quarterly report; AIG shares are down 3%; Akorn shares are down over 6% after announcing an offering of $100 million of convertible senior notes; Frontline shares are down over 7% on news the company may divest assets; and shares of Polo Ralph Lauren down over 8% following quarterly results.
