Pre-Market Movers: May 23, 2011
Equity futures are pointing lower this morning with the Dow Jones Industrial Average looking to open 122 points lower while the broader S&P500 index is looking to open over 12 points lower. Moving fast in the pre-market session are shares of China Fire & Security Group up 18% on news that Bain Capital Partners will acquire the company; and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts up 14% following Q1 results. Shares of Caterpillar are down 2%; Baidu down over 2%; Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold down 3% after mine output fell in Q1 and on news that the supply gap could widen; and BHP Billiton Ltd down 3%.
