In our series on European companies that supply their wares to haute couturiers, we visit the exclusive Swiss textile manufacturing company "Jakob Schlaepfer". It provides fabrics for some of the world’s top fashion firms. The company's breakthrough was in 1963 when it patented its "Paillettenstickerei" (sequin production on shuttle embroidery machines).
