東京・荒川区で13日午後、住宅9棟などが焼ける火事があり、4人がけがをした。現場は住宅密集地で、一帯に黒煙が立ち込めるなど、一時、騒然とした。13日午後2時ごろ、荒川区東日暮里の住宅密集地で、「住宅が燃えている」と119番通報があった。東京消防庁の消防車や救急車およそ40台と、消防ヘリも出場して消火活動を行ったが、火は、木造モルタル2階建て住宅など9棟、およそ200平方メートルを焼いて、1時間後に消し止められた。目撃者によると、火柱が上がり、ところどころで爆発音が聞こえたという。この火事で、周辺の住民ら4人がのどの痛みなどを訴える軽いけがをしたという。
