AmericanMuscle.com heads to New Jersey Motorsports Park with our 2012 Boss 302 Mustang and a 2010 Camaro SS (oh yes we did!) for a little bit of fun! Lap Times: 2012 Boss 302 Mustang 1:20.392 2010 Camaro SS 1:22.440 The 2012 Ford Boss 302 Mustang was not only more comfortable on the track, but much more at home than the similarly rated 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS.  We realize that the Boss is a purpose-built motorsports car (even though it’s stock). To be fair, the Camaro was completely stock, as well. With a 2.048 second lap time difference, the Boss would gain more and more of a separation over time. It held up better at high speeds and extreme driving, with better handling, less brake fade and quicker acceleration.
