The 26 Ancestors Instructional modules teach you the 5-Step Research process you can use again and again to discover your family history.  This segment (# 2.1) is an overview of Step 1, "Write Down What You Know." Step 1 teaches how to gather and make a record of each new piece of information that you learn about an ancestor. Information about your ancestors' lives has been preserved in various ways. As you begin to piece together their stories from memories, documents and objects, you will begin to feel the joy of personally connecting to them.
