The Hydrophone is an automatic sound sculpture built with waste, and based on rythmic sequencing of water drops and air bubbles.  To build this artifact different disciplines have been put in common: electronic prototyping, structural design, mathematics, electroacustics, software programming, etc. More specifically, the instrument is formed by an structural basis consisting in a wc support, a leg from a table and some iron profiles. Through the use of a valve and a pump, waterdrops and bubbles are produced in a musical way. The rythms are determined by the evolutive algorithms which have been uploaded in an arduino board Water drops are amplified using an waterproof microphone system designed specifically for the sculpture. +info:
