Many in India awoke before dawn to watch award after award being won by Slumdog Millionaire.  We watched the oscar awards in our home in the SF Bay Area cheering loudly for each win. I am such a huge fan of Bollywood flicks it was so exciting for America and the rest of the world to catch a glimpse of the India I so love, to see the colourful dancers and listen to the captivating music. I dare-say this will whet the appetites of many around the world for fashion and foods of India, as well as dance and music! Monday dawned with celebration in India as word spread that "Slumdog Millionaire" had snagged eight Academy Awards, including best picture and best director. "Slumdog is Top Dog!" read a television headline. BRAVO and congratulations to all involved in this fabulous movie.
