已經退出民主黨的立法會議員鄭家富表示，與民主黨仍然是盟友，會一起爭取民主。但他提醒民主黨，當政府給予好處，例如是授勳或發還回鄉證時，要小心處理，以免因小失大。 另外，對於政府表示，研究限制議員辭職後參加補選，民主黨的涂謹申認為不可行，而且違反基本法。
