The banquet starts inside the Stockholm City Hall in Sweden, where the Royal Family and the guests of honour enter in procession into the Blue Hall to the 'Fahlcrantz March'. His Majesty’s toast is proposed by Marcus Storch, Chairman of the Nobel Foundation (5:50). A toast to Alfred Nobel's memory is proposed by His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden (7:11). The entertainment during the evening, 'Così van tutte', is performed by students from the programme in Neo Circus, University College of Dance and students from the Mimeprogramme, Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts ? the first number is 'Secondate, aurette amiche' (13:49). The first course is served (17:41). The divertissement continues (24:00). Dessert is served at the end of the performance (43:50). Banquet speeches are given by the 2008 Laureates: Makoto Kobayashi, Nobel Laureate in Physics (48:39), Roger Y. Tsien, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry (52:48), Harald zur Hausen, Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine (57:04), Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio Nobel Laureate in Literature (1:03:08) and Paul Krugman, Economics Laureate (1:07:50).
