Market Movers: July 8, 2011
Equity futures are pointing higher this morning with the Dow Jones Industrial Average looking to open 22 points higher while the broader S&P500 index is looking to open less than one point higher. Moving fast in the pre-market session are shares of Local.com (NASDAQ:LOCM) up over 19% after the company entered into a Google Services Agreement with Google (NASDAQ:GOOG); Amylin Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:AMLN) up over 8% on news that its diabetes drug is safe for the heart; and shares of Geron (NASDAQ:GERN) up over 6%. Shares of Ixia (NASDAQ:XXIA) are down 20% after the company was downgraded to hold from buy at Deutsche Bank.
