New Term for Sri Lankan President; Cash for Taliban?
(Al Jazeera English News Headlines: January 27, 2010) Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has won another term in office, although his main rival contests the results. In Afghanistan, President Hamid Karzai is looking to offer cash and job incentives to Taliban fighters in an effort to persuade them to change sides.
