Open Phones
Telephone lines were open for Democratic Party viewers on President Obama and Democratic congressional leaders' handing of budget and national debt negotiations.  Jim Tankersley spoke by phone about the status of negotiations between President Obama and congressional leaders on a budget and debt agreement. Mr. Tankersley’s appearance, which began about a minute and one-half into the program, ended abruptly when the phone connection with him was lost. The interview resumed approximately seven minutes after the beginning of the program.
