In life, we can have a "transformational experience" and I had one such experience when my father died. He died in the VA in Houston Texas, and my mother and I got to see up close and personal, what happens when patients are treated as if they ARE their disease. Patients did not get the respect and caring they deserved, and in essence, were robbed of dignity and humanity. I vowed then that I would never treat a patient less well than I would my family. I also had a dream of someday, having my own facility where patients could be treated like VIPs, very important patients. We have done so here at Baker Chiropractic in Longview since October 2005. We make folks feel at home with a laugh, a smile, a joke, and yet, treating their health problems seriously.
