Here they are: If you dread going through the security at the airport and have problems every time, this will help you out.  • Put the metals and jewellery items that you can in your carry on. You don’t want to put too many things in the tray. • Any liquid that you want to carry has to be put in 3 oz plastic containers and then sealed in a 1 quart plastic bag. That applies for 1 such bag per traveler. Put away other things that you want to carry in your luggage. • Again if you have a medicine or milk or juice for a young child traveling with you, take the prescription along with you in the case of a medicine and announce it at the security. It is ok to carry such items in more than a 3 oz package. • You can no longer lock your bags with a conventional lock as it is against security concerns but you can get the special transportation authority approved lock that opens with a master key that all the security personnel have. That way you can be rest assured that your luggage won’t be unduly tampered with. • A great day and time for buying tickets is when the airlines release their tickets. This happens on Wednesdays between 12-1 am. You have to get online a little late but it is worth the effort. Remember to do that as per the local airlines time zone. • Kayak.com and hotwire.com are some websites that can give you all the flight information that you may want to check out. • Check you passports and credit cards. There are some countries that need for your passport expiration date to be at least 6 months ahead of your traveling date. China is one such country. • Credits cards are a tricky affair as while withdrawing money from a foreign bank you will get charged for the exchange charge of that bank at that exchange rate.
