OKCNMM Stories of Hope
OKC This summer, Fridays are full of hope at the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. Nancy Coggins discusses First Person: Stories of Hope, the new exhibit running through August 28, 2009. Each Friday, a different person shares the story of perseverance, strength, resilience and hope stemming from the tragic 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The series includes survivors, police and response personnel, government officials, and culminates with Charlie Hanger, the officer who arrested Timothy McVeigh. Guests are welcome to ask questions and participate in the talks. Though the First Person stories begin with a tragedy, they also tell of the hope and growth of the survivors in the years that have followed. Originally aired: June 16, 2009. Running time: 4:03
