Take a Ride with Garmin In-Car GPS
PC World’s Dennis O'Reilly takes Garmin's high-end GPS system for a spin. The Nuvi 680 costs about $650, $300 more than other GPS devices, but it comes with a nice bright screen viewable in direct sunlight. You get one-year free service (normally $50 annually) with MSN Direct, which offers real-time traffic maps, gas prices, and other information. You can also listen to music and audio books off of an SD card through your car's FM radio.
