Super Mario World completed in only 12 levels - it’s entirely possible though it takes considerable skill. What's more is that I do it without dying. I do take a few hits, but not very often. In this case, I'll walk you though the entire process on completing Super Mario World in just 11 levels. This is the fewest possible number of levels that need to be completed. Only 3 levels involve the cutting of the tape, the very first ones. 3 other levels involve boss fights to clear them (Iggy's Castle, a ghost house, and, obviously, Bowser). All the rest require the use of getting a key to a keyhole. Here's the list of levels you'll be playing and what to do to clear them: 1. Yoshi's Island 2 - Very easy, cut the tape at the end. 2. Yoshi's Island 3 - Easy, cut the tape. 3. Yoshi's Island 4 - Easy, cut the tape. This level offers a great opportunity for extra lives. 4. Iggy's Castle - Easy, defeat Iggy. The first area is the best opportunity for gaining extra lives. Bop Iggy so that he slides downhill to get him in the lava. 5. Donut Plains 1 - Medium, put the key in the keyhole. Reach the end area with Caped Mario and fly into the gap. This may take a few tries if you're bad with flight. 6. Donut Secret 1 - Medium-hard, put key in keyhole. When you come across the pow, dash as fast as you can to the right. If you fail, you'll have to lose a life to try again. 7. Donut Secret House - Easy-medium, defeat big boo. Use the beanstalk in the final room (can be done without the pow) to access the upper door. 8. Star World 1 - Very easy, put key in keyhole. Stay to the far right at all times. 9. Star World 2 - Easy-medium, put key in keyhole. Reach the end area, but take the low route instead of going in the pipe. The first area is best for more extra lives. 10. Star World 3 - Easy-medium, put key in keyhole. Use the magic blocks and hit the guy in the cloud with it. Ride the cloud up to the top (use the directionals to steer it). 11.
