For some people 26.2 miles of agony is not masochistic enough. A group of runners are making life more difficult by knitting a scarf, completing Rubik’s Cubes or doing the course backwards, while James Cracknell is aiming to finish the race despite fracturing his skull in a cycling accident less than a year ago.
