US Hiring Accelerated in October
The U.S. job market improved in October with a net gain of more than 150,000 jobs — more than double what analysts expected. Friday’s report from the Labor Department represents the biggest increase since May and marks the 10th month of consecutive growth in the private sector. But as Mil Arcega reports, the gains were not enough to budge the stubbornly high 9.6 percent unemployment rate.
