Writing L.A.: Urban Noir, Postmodern Malaise, and Suburban Angst in the Capital of the 21st Century is the third annual "Los Angeles" conference sponsored by the USC Libraries and the Los Angeles Institute for the Humanities.  The "Reading L.A." panel includes authors Chris Abani ("Daphne’s Lot), Aimee Bender ("An Invisible Sign of My Own"), Suzanne Lummis ("Grand Passion: The Poets of Los Angeles and Beyond"), and D.J. Waldie ("Holy Land: A Suburban Memoir"). Discussion includes many perspectives of living and creating in Los Angeles.
