LIBYA: Gaddafi insists the unrest is down to al-Qaeda
Muammar Gaddafi has once again laid the blame for the Libyan unrest squarely at the door of al-Qaeda. Islamist groups have been trying to get rid of Gaddafi for years, and it was to help fight the threat of extremists that the international community brought Gaddafi back in from the cold. Yet with no evidence to support his accusations, can al-Qaeda really be reponsible for the uprisings in Tunisia, Egypt and now Libya?
