New Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou City, China (2001)
The Chinese government needed a public relations tool to promote this completely new major airport construction project to airline customersÆ worldwide. The Architectural staff created the 3D exterior shell in FormZ. This was passed to the animation staff to detail the interior using 3D Studio Max. A seven-minute video shows how a passenger would travel from curbside through the terminal to aircraft boarding and then arriving passengers going thru to the baggage area. The 3D model was created and rendered using five-dual 933 PCÆs, the animation is 10,800 frames long and required six weeks to build and render.
