Taiwan Journey Part 2: The Woody Guthrie of Taiwan?
Lin Cheng Zhiang became known for his work with the Labor Exchange Band, part of a social movement protesting the buildlng of a dam in the south of Taiwan. He has continued to write and record since then, and is widely respected for his songs about sociali realities and his combination of traditional Hakka song and Western instrumentation. He performs three songs, one from his new CD "Growing Up Wild."
