Two days before the Hurley Pro was to rain down on Lowers in Southern California I caught up with San Clemente local Patrick Gudauskas. Pat is next in line on the alternate list to get in the premier WCT event at Lowers and is in between events on the WQS. I meet up with Pat at the infamous T-Street where we also meet up with Dusty Payne. After a morning session Pat showed me his house and made some calls. After the chores were done we jetted on down to Lowers and talked shop while some of the best surfers in the world were warming up.Â
