Here are two examples of the first tests of my homemade Glidetrack. I bought 1,5 mtr of Drylin W-profile for €108,- (including a baseplate with sliders) and mounted it between the head and the legs of my Vanguard tripod. These tests proved that a simple tripod is not sufficient for the weight of my HV30 at either end of 1,5 mtr Glidetrack. And they also proved that you need some practicing to get smooth glides. But these first tests, together with the low costs., are very promising.
