Tras haber vencido en sus anteriores películas a un malvado dragón, haberse casado con la princesa Fiona y haber salvado el reino de los padres de ésta, en esta cuarta entrega el ogro firmará un pacto con un malvado negociante que no le traerá nada bueno. Por ello, tendrá que hacer todo lo posible por deshacerlo.
