ラトビアで砂の彫刻の国際コンテスト開催 創意に満ちた作品が観客を魅了
砂の彫刻の国際コンテストがラトビアで開催され、創意に満ちた作品が観客を魅了した。5回目を迎えた2011年のコンテストのテーマは、「サーカス」。開催国のラトビアをはじめ、ロシア、アメリカなど世界8カ国から16人のアーティストが参加し、マジックショーの1コマや、サーカスを楽しむ観客の笑い顔などを砂で表現した。今回、使用された砂の量は500トンで、優勝したのは地元ラトビアのアーティストだった。
