This Day In History: Helen Keller Dies (6/1/1968)
On June 1st of 1968, Helen Keller died, leaving behind a legacy. Keller was left deaf, blind, and mute after having Scarlet Fever as an infant; but through her miracle worker Ann Sullivan, Keller was able to communicate, which led to so much more.
