many of them have to leave their homes behind like they did 10 years ago during the cerro grande fire. we watched as a whole neighborhood moved quickly, but quility with suitcases..and packed bags. many families had a plan...and already had their bags packed from last night with important papers, medication..and clothes... the reverse 911 message went out around two-o’clock.... telling people to evacuate...we got caught up in the bumper to bumper traffic which is unheard of here in los alamos... for some people, it's nervracking not what's going to happen. "i'm pretty concerned about the smoke, obviously i have a little one, and this is all new to me. i've only been in the country for a few years, and yeah, iut's pretty scary stuff." we saw the long line of traffic through los alamos... and now this town is becoming a ghost town at this hour...as thousands of people leave to stay with friends and families in other towns like santa fe, taos, and espanola
