Water off Sylvan Beach once again safe for swimming 7-12-11
Due to a bloom of toxic blue-green algae, a portion of Oneida Lake was closed to swimmers last Thursday. Tuesday, Oneida County announced that the latest water samples showed toxin levels were no longer a public health risk. Verona Beach, however, remains closed.
