Enterprise Authority and Signet Privilege Management
An enterprise authority, or privilege, management service is a relatively new component of campus middleware that provides centralized management of user privileges across a range of applications. Leading-edge development and use of privilege management systems at some campuses have proven both the feasibility of these systems and provided valuable understanding of technical and organizational prerequisites. The Internet2 MACE Signet project is building on these successes to develop an application and tools to permit more institutions to take advantage of such services. Presenters in this session will discuss the work in progress, the schedule for release of components, the integration with Grouper, and other topics.
