This is one of many short video segments which will be added to the Digital Tipping Point (DTP) archive. This particular segment features Novell Chairman Jack Messman talking about Hovell’s historic role as a provider of insfrastructure software, meaning software that he describes as helping people connect to the Internet and large mainframe computer networks.  He then gives the overall big picture as to how the company will make money with open source software. In particular, he begins a discussion of how Novell provides software infrastructure for servers, data centers, and its new venture onto the consumer desktop.
