Infineon – Story of a turnaround
One year ago, the computer chip producer Infineon stood at the brink of bankruptcy. Today the company can hardly keep up with orders. Infineon has specialized in the production of the high-value computer chips found in everything from smart phones to wind-power turbines to electric cars.Last year, most investors were expecting Infineon to go broke. Today it is back in the black. What happened? Infineon sold its Qimonda subsidiary, enabling the company to concentrate on developing and producing high-performance computer chips.
