18歲少女陳施惠，不幸罹患小腦萎縮症。但縱使四肢日漸失去控制，口齒不清，她依舊選擇笑對逆境，繼續醉心所鍾愛的繪畫，更積極參與義務工作。2008年對施惠來說是意義重大的一年。她不只突破心理障礙向同學公開病情，並與19位同樣逆境自強的學生，齊齊成為香港青年協會「黃寬洋青少年進修計劃」的得獎者，以自身景況勉勵青少年珍惜生命。雖然在2008年，施惠的病情漸趨惡化，身體狀況更差，但她堅持以笑容、以樂觀積極的人生態度面對。
