A Hamas spokesman said in a televised speech that Gaza will "become a graveyard" for Israeli soldiers.  The spokesman, Ismail Radwan, appeared on Hamas' al-Aqsa TV shortly after Israel launched a ground offensive in Gaza late Saturday. It was not clear if the appearance was live or taped. After the invasion, Hamas members fired off fiery warnings to the Israeli forces. In another message, Ham More..as warned Israeli forces that "Gaza will not be paved with flowers for you, it will be paved with fire and hell." 'Hundreds of suicide bombers' Hamas has long prepared for Israel’s invasion, digging tunnels and rigging some areas with explosives. At the start of the offensive, Israeli artillery hit some of the border areas, apparently to detonate hidden explosives. Meanwhile, Hamas' Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades threatened that the "Zionist enemy will pay a heavy price for its ground incursion. The group said that the IDF was "getting closer to the trap we laid for it," adding that "our people will fight to the last drop of blood and won't surrender. We prepared hundreds of suicide bombers meant to kill and capture dozens of soldiers taking part in the ground operations."
