Do you remember a teacher in school who made a great impact on you? Or perhaps a teacher you had problems learning from? Teachers play an integral role in our lives. There is no way to fully know Jesus without knowing him as your teacher. The word disciple means a student which means we are to learn from Him and walk in His ways. Today, He has given us the Holy Spirit as our teacher. Jesus said, "the Holy Spirit will teach you all things" (John 14:26). The Spirit teaches us in three ways: he informs, he gives us insight into spiritual mysteries and he inspires us to do God’s will. We have to be teachable if the Holy Spirit is our teacher. There are three pitfalls to being teachable: pride, prejudice and passivity.
