Cincinnati Reds 2011 Preview: Juan Francisco, Drew Stubbs, and Homer Bailey
Bloomberg Sports Analyst Rob Shaw breaks down the 2011 Cincinnati Reds. Shaw tells us that there is a prospect on the rise at third base in the form of Juan Francisco, a player with a lot of pop who will back up Scott Rolen. In the outfield, Shaw tells us that Drew Stubbs will play a very important role for the Reds. While he has some power, it is more important that he reaches base on a consistent bases. In the starting rotation there is a great deal of competition. One player who can rise to the challenge is Homer Bailey. The former top 10 pick had a nice finish to last season and could pick up 15 wins assuming he can earn a spot in the rotation. Additionally, Shaw touches on the speedster Aroldis Chapman and what role he will likely play for the team this season.
