The Get Up Kids - Automatic
Seminal early aughts, emo-rockers The Get Up Kids are on the come-back trail with a new album dubbed There Are Rules, out now on their own Quality Hill Recordings label. That album’s first single "Automatic" stutters and starts, as it dips in and out of odd shreds of guitar and glitzy synthetics. Like the song, the accompanying video takes an odd dip as well, as a weird and warped automobile takes a sleeping child on a strange journey to a hyper colored car wash.
