The banks have offered to repurchase the minibonds at about 70% of their nominal value, at a total cost of $6.3 billion. But not all investors are happy with their offer, and have vowed to continue to press forward with legal action currently underway. In this week's instalment of Spotlight on Chinese Enterprises, Money Magazine looks at China Railway Group, the mainland's largest construction company, with an annual turnover of about US$170 billion. The company, which builds railroads, bridges and tunnels, has greatly benefited from the mainland's 4 trillion yuan stimulus package, which places a lot of emphasis on infrastructure development.
