プロ野球・西武ライオンズは、選手に対する暴力行為があったとして、大久保 博元前2軍打撃コーチの解雇を発表した。球団の調査によれば、大久保前コーチは、自主練習の際に、選手に高額の罰金を科しており、球団がその行為をやめるよう注意したが、大久保前コーチは、「誰が球団にそのことを言ってんだ」と選手に詰め寄り、1人の選手に暴行した。球団は、これらの行為を重く受け止め、大久保前コーチを解雇した。
